A story of my confused state

2018, I moved to Ogun state and had to seek employment in a school within my vicinity. As a Lagos teacher, I was used to a vibrant class, swift answers and mushy acts by my students. So I resumed at my new work place with that fully charged energy. The first day got me confused. I was to teach the primary classes, I started my class and it was obvious these children were not following. They could neither understand what I was saying nor did they show any bit of interest. It was then I knew I had to start from the scratch. First, I had to create a connection. I wanted them to understand that I am first their friend. I needed to set the foundation that they can have both a friend and teacher in one. After that, I came down to their level. I made them feel and appreciate every little progress they made. I built up their interest in education. We worked together, applying several strategies I discovered and created, and within some month the growth was evident. Eureka is a book that ...

HOW I LOST MY JOB

HOW I LOST MY JOB (2016) The company's new managing director called me into his office. MD: Titi I'm very sure you're aware of the financial setback this company is facing and right now all hands ought to be on deck towards restructuring the company. Me: Yes Sir MD: Right now I need people that can get me ten million naira per month through marketing and the way I'm seeing you, you can't befriend those men that can put money into this business. Or can you? Me: No Sir MD: Well, I need those who can go to any length to get me that money. In that case your service is no longer needed here... I couldn't get another job for months until February when I got the teaching job, I was told I'm going to be paid an amount which is my previous salary divided by 3. I was already crying inside me, it was like a grace to grass story but man has gat no choice so I accepted it. I knew if I was to base my teaching on my salary it won't turn out well so I had to...

MINDSET MAKEOVER

Crying Anthony has been knocking on the gate for the past 20 minutes, I asked him why he was crying and he told me the gate was locked and no one has answered him since he was knocking. I also tried pushing the gate severally but it was futile so I started knocking. After knocking for about 5 minutes a lady inside asked what I wanted and I told her Anthony needs to go in but the hate was locked. She told me the gate wasn't locked, on hearing that I pushed the gate and it opened immediately. I was stunned, this is the same gate I pushed 5 minutes ago why didn't it open then. It then dawn on me that my mindset was at fault. The first attempt, I pushed the gate with a mindset that it was locked and that was the result I got. On the second attempt I pushed the gate with a mindset that it was open and it turned out that way. I also noticed, the energy I put into use when pushing it the first time was less than the energy on the second attempt. If you were told that the busi...

UNDERSTANDING the way to PERFECTION

Perfect sontin!!! I want a perfect job, husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, I want to be perfect. These are demands we make daily. You can't get a perfect sontin, job, husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend... These are answers we get when we ask for the above. What exactly is perfection? Though the dictionary defined it as without fault, weakness, to be complete, exact and correct But in the actual sense understanding comes before perfection There is actually no perfect human on earth, but there perfect humans on earth if understanding is placed first. Perfection to me is "knowing the fault, weakness, lack... Of a person, thing, job or yourself, understanding it is already a part of them and deciding those you can change and those that can't be changed, then seeing the person, thing, job or yourself as perfect. For someone or something to be perfect You must have listed out their weakness and faults. Note those you can change and work on them Note those you can...

CONTENTMENT

I was the financial secretary of my fellowship in year 2015, which I had the fellowship's fund with me. There where days in school I had no food to eat, there was this particular day I fasted and had nothing to eat, the next day I still didn't eat anything until in the evening when I managed to get garri to drink. Though I was going through tough time but I didn't touch the fellowship funds. I kept the financial records of the fellowship so even if I removed some amount, no one would know The reason many turn greedy is all due to lack of contentment. So many argue that lack of contentment isn't bad, they believe we should crave for more at all time. Yes, it really isn't bad to crave for more, but while asking for more make do with what you have presently. Contentment means to make do with the present while working towards a better tomorrow. Not been contented is a very great sin that we ignore. When you're not contented you steal, kill, engage in illega...

HOW TO STOP YOUR MOUTH FROM SMELLING

I sat on the bed one early morning puzzled on why our mouths never cease to smell whenever we wake in the morning. I mean even when you brush it 10 times the previous day you will still wake up to a smelly mouth. Thou I also noticed the rate at which a mouth that get brushed once will smell isn't how the one that gets brushed twice daily would smell. The more frequent we brush our teeth the less smelly it gets. BUT THE FACT IS IT WOULD STILL SMELL. WHY? HOW CAN IT BE STOPPED READ MORE There is actually a way to stop your mouth from smelling the next day after a rigorous brushing today. That's why we never stop brushing our teeth, no matter how clean our mouth is today we still brush it the next day. So that means the only way to stop our mouth from smelling is to brush it daily. YEAH!!!! You know I have met with some highly intellectual individuals and am surprised at their insatiable desire for knowledge. Am like "Mr you've got it all, why want more? Why ...

THE MOSQUITO TALE

A mosquito named Garle went in search of blood, he entered a room and a minute later people there started jamming their hands in a bid to kill it. Garle mistook the act for praises, he left with joy and returned the next day just because he wants to be praised. Garle forgot his main aim of going out, he forgot about food rather he digested the praises he received. Garle went out as usual, feeling comfortable with his new environment and the praises he received, rather than flying he stayed on the bed and watched waiting for when the applause would be rendered to him but poor Garle didn't see it coming. The same hand that clapped for him killed him that day. Interesting story right Where you able to pick some lessons from the story. I did Read below 1) Have a goal, set your eyes always on the goal, remind yourself always of the goal. 2) Distractions would always set in, but don't give way to the distractions. 3) Not all who praise you mean well, some actually pray for...

DIRECTION to your LOCATION

I can't sleep, I rolled on the bed, closed my eyes a thousand times but still no sleep. I can hear the voice clearly, it wouldn't stop speaking so I decided to write it down. You were invited to a party and was told to be there in time since the party would end by 4pm. The venue of the party is unknown to you so is the direction and you didn't speak. You got to know so many others were invited to a party thou you're not so sure its the same party but you convinced yourself the direction should be the same. Friends and family guessed the venue of the party so they too gave you directions. You still didn't deem it fit to ask the one who invited you the venue and direction to the party. "Persin no fit lose for Nija now" you told your naive self. It is the d-day, you set out with friends and family based on their directions. You got to the party but they wouldn't let you enter. "This isn't your party" they tell you. You check the ti...

LIFE'S PRINCIPLE

I was in a brt some days ago, the brt stopped at a bus stop and some passengers alighted. A particular lady didn't make her way fast to the door before the vehicle took off. From the back of the brt she urged the driver to stop but he drove on. From the experience above I noticed some things that went wrong: 1) Those who wanted to alight got up from their seats and stood close to the door. THEY WHERE READY EVEN BEFORE THEY GOT TO THEIR BUS STOP. 2) Even after the bus took off, the lady only called the attention of the driver once which am sure he didn't hear. SHE WASN'T SERIOUS ENOUGH 3) Other passengers didn't bother telling the driver to stop the bus since the lady didn't look concerned. YOUR ATTITUDE SOMETIMES DETERMINE OTHERS ATTITUDE. WHAT EXACTLY ARE LIFE'S PRINCIPLES🙇🙇 I would be listing three important life principles in relating to the above subject. 1) In life you must always be ready because time waits for no one. When opportunity comes kn...

GET WEALTHY IN THIS PERIOD. SECRET UNVEILED

Who told you its difficult to be wealthy in this current economic wahala ( na lie dem talk) Who told you it is difficult to survive this period ( dem no talk true at all) Yes things are expensive compared to before but do you know you can still make it in this hard times? Yes times are hard but the reason it is banging you so hard is because you haven't  discovered the secret of staying wealthy despite the banging dollar rise. SECRETS UNVEILED To unveil this interesting secret i would be doing a little arithmetic to broaden our understanding on this. Mr Biodun earns #60,000 monthly and his monthly expenses are as follows: House rent = #5000 Feeding= #30,000 School fee ( for 2 children)=#20,000 then other petty expenses Now for someone like Mr Biodun this recession has banged him so hard he finds it difficult for he and his family to survive but to the greatest surprise Mr Biodun is slaying despite the hike in price. Am going to reveal the secrets behind Mr Biodun...

CONDUCTOR'S SECRET

Y e sterday i boarded a bus to work and the conductor taught me a very important life lesson.  When i entered i was the only one in the bus and there were several buses there calling out for passengers but this conductor of the bus i entered did something i loved. He went across the road and started calling for passengers, he assisted some in crossing the road and he carried luggage of others. He also had to persuade some that his bus was going to move immediately they entered and before the twinkle of an eye the bus was filled while other buses were still there. After some passengers dropped he had to call for more passengers, the first two passengers offered to pay less which was ridiculous.  He refused to carry them and the bus moved to another location, getting there he picked passengers who paid exactly what he called.  It got me thinking thank God he didn't to carry those who offered to less. LESSONS FROM THIS STORY Develop a strategy that makes people ...

PRESS THE HORN

ok, here we are with another lesson for the day Life is a book and everyday represent a chapter from which life lessons can be learnt. Yesterday on my way home i boarded a Keke, while on the road a bus by our side tried overtaking us and all our driver had to do was just to press the horn and the bus driver realised his place. Later on another Keke tried overtaking us and he succeeded because our driver was busy doing something else that he forgot to press the horn. What really is the purpose of a Car horn? The vehicle operator uses the horn to warn others of the vehicle's approach or presence, or to call attention to some hazard. So many people complain of been trampled on, they complain about been used and cheated on. They complain about friends and family making them feel useless, they complain about others taking credit for what they suffered on. should we be blunt with each other YOU MADE THAT HAPPEN Just as every car has a horn, every individual has ...

BE YOUR DECISION MAKER

last week i was in a BRT and when the pilot was about taking the normal route majority of the passengers opposed and told him to take a different route, and since we love the CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT phrase he obliged. we were so shocked to meet with a standstill traffic at the route the passengers suggested and after 30 minutes those passengers who suggested the change of route started insulting the driver and telling him that he doesn't know how to do his job well. they told him he ought to know the best route to take. I felt pity for the driver who by pleasing his passengers got himself into a bigger mess. This event actually taught me something LESSONS . The same people who made you change your mind would still throw stones at you for agreeing to their idea. . Advises are not for you to take but to decide . Customers aren't always right, they sometimes don't even know what they want . Don't be bothered about ple...

OPTION B

Yesterday after work i was at my bus-stop waiting for a Keke to drop me at new garage Ikeja, but i saw the number of people waiting for the same Keke and considering the whether i knew chances i would get a Keke was slim.  I decided to trek though the whether wasn't in my favor since it was already drizzling. throughout the journey to Ikeja i could barely count three Keke that past me and to my surprise it didn't rain. This event immediately taught me a life lesson which i would love to share. LESSON: There are so many individuals waiting to get to that destination you are vying for, and you all are waiting to get there through the same means. in life there is always an option B, because your graduated as an accountant doesn't mean you must work in a bank. GET AN OPTION B. You are patiently waiting with billions of people for that job, position, achievement that would take you to your destination. what if it never comes would you be stranded at your present positio...

THE OTHER SIDE

Am not here to talk an about the other room oh LOL😆😆 this one is about the other side. Please drop your comments, I would love to know how you feel about this post.    I was in church for the digging deep service, when the Preacher started teaching I noticed what he was saying didn't correspond with the digging deep study sheet I was given.  I checked the date of the sheet and it was 18th of October 2016 and the date for that day was 11th. I noticed the congregation didn't look confused like I was so I thought of calling the attention of the usher.  Before I could get the attention of the ushers I decided to turn the other side of the sheet and there it was 11th October 2016 the topic for that day. NOTE: Before I realized the topic been preached was on the other side, the preacher was almost through with the teaching. This singular event opened my eyes to amazing life lessons I would be sharing here. 1) Majority of us have been believing God for a particu...

TRAINING A CHILD

Its no longer news that children aren't trained in the way they ought to go but in the way their parents deem it fit for them to go. Before a child is born, parents have concluded on the path/career of the child and when he is born, he has no option than follow their path like a dummy least the society tags him a disobedient child. I was discussing with a couple days ago and I raised the topic of training a child. I told them children should in the way they should go not the way their parents want them to go. I was taken aback by their response "So we should allow him become wayward abi, he should do whatever he wants to do..." Pro 22:6 "Train up a child IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO and when he is old he won't depart from it." IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO not IN THE WAY YOU WANT HIM TO GO. Let me explain better with this illustration. A pencil marker was invented for the purpose of colouring drawings on paper, you bought it and without reading the manual yo...
