A story of my confused state

  2018, I moved to Ogun state and had to seek employment in a school within my vicinity. As a Lagos teacher, I was used to a vibrant class, swift answers and mushy acts by my students. So I resumed at my new work place with that fully charged energy. The first day got me confused. I was to teach the primary classes, I started my class and it was obvious these children were not following. They could neither understand what I was saying nor did they show any bit of interest. It was then I knew I had to start from the scratch. First, I had to create a connection. I wanted them to understand that I am first their friend. I needed to set the foundation that they can have both a friend and teacher in one. After that, I came down to their level. I made them feel and appreciate every little progress they made. now another enemy of talents is ENVY ENVY is the desire to have a quality, possession, or other desirable thing belonging to (someone else).  like i said in my previews post the devil is  tricky in his acts, he wouldnt do things direactly so that he wont be suspected easily. the devil knows that when you're envious of your friends talents,you would disregard your own and try to learn their own talents. now how does he do this, am going to show you an example of a devil's to-do list make her feel inferior make her jealous of her friends talents make her hate and despise hers make her want to be like her friend  finally she forgets who she really is the moment you start feeling inferior because you think your friends are better than you, you give way to envy. and once envy sets in you start feeling the urge to want to be like him/her and once you start wanting  to be like them you totally forget who you are and your reason for existence, you start livi...

we discussed self esteem in my previous post now as per my discussion we would be considering the dangers of low self esteem there  are so many sins which the devil has packaged alongside low self esteem whereby the moment you give room for low self esteem every other sins rolls in; 1. We have recently been talking about how to believe in yourself, following the right path and doing the right thing. now today we are going to begin the study on the enemies of talents the first enemy am going to be discussing about is low self esteem LOW SELF ESTEEM: this is one of the problems facing our children today and it is a great obstacle of using your talent effectively. it makes you feel you're not worth it. it makes you feel you're below others.  you see your mates and rather than converse with them you feel inferior, you feel they are better, finer, wealthier or more lucky than you, and even most-times you so much pray and wish you where them. Long ago in a certain village lived a little damsel by name Loretta, she lived with her parents and two siblings. Loretta lived in a world of her own, she sees her self doing things that she doesn't understand and most times wondered why she does them, she was tagged useless by her parents and the whole villagers. Loretta was never ever bothered by what her parents or anyone says about her but thou she still wishes she would stop those act of hers. in school she was always at the bottom of the class, she doesn't seem to understand what was been thought in class but always tries as much as possible to read.  Everyday she would say to herself "with God by my side i can make it" she never ceased encouraging herself despite the rebuke she got from all around her. she believed in the saying SMILERS NEVER LOSE so she made sure she was found smiling at all time. I remember my first experience with a slow learner. At first I thought he was just lazy but later I realised it wasn't laziness. He was always quite, doesn't answer questions in class and rarely relate with his peers. Within months of my stay in the school I started noticing some changes in my boy. MAT 25:14-30 PARABLE OF THE THREE SERVANTS

Hello friends today we would be studying the book of MAT 25:14-30 in a different way SUMMARY OF THE PARABLE OF THE THREE SERVANTS a particular master was about to go on a journey so he gave his first servant 5 talents, the second 2 talents and the last servant 1 talent after which he went on his journey. the first servant traded with his talents and added 5 more to it, the second servant also did the same and added 2 more but the last servants thought that he has been cheated, he felt he wasn't loved by his master so rather than trading with his talent he hid it until the return of his master. When the master returned he asked of the account of the talents and all the servants gave accounts. He appreciated the first two servants and had the last one thrown into the wilderness.
