2018, I moved to Ogun state and had to seek employment in a school within my vicinity. As a Lagos teacher, I was used to a vibrant class, swift answers and mushy acts by my students. So I resumed at my new work place with that fully charged energy. The first day got me confused. I was to teach the primary classes, I started my class and it was obvious these children were not following. They could neither understand what I was saying nor did they show any bit of interest. It was then I knew I had to start from the scratch. First, I had to create a connection. I wanted them to understand that I am first their friend. I needed to set the foundation that they can have both a friend and teacher in one. After that, I came down to their level. I made them feel and appreciate every little progress they made. yesterday we on masturbation as one of the tools the devil uses to destroy the talents of children/teenagers. now the good news is IT CAN BE STOPPED yeah it can actually be stopped, forget the lie of the devil that says once you've started you can stop it. now am going to be discussing below how you can successfully stop the habit of masturbating.
1) ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IT IS BAD: wondering why this is my first point, yeah the first step towards stopping any bad habit is for you to acknowledge that it is bad. no one wants to stop a good habit so if you're still of the opinion that there's nothing bad about masturbation then am so sorry because you would find it difficult leaving that habit. so my dear friends you have to believe that masturbation is a very bad habit and also an act of the devil towards destroying young talents. once this is achieved am happy to tell you that you are on your way to been free.
2) HAVE A MIND SET TO STOP IT: yes, knowing and accepting that something is evil most-times doesn't guarantee that we want to stop it. we know that cheating in the examination is bad but still most of us do it. therefore, apart from acknowledging that it is a sin we must also be willing to stop it. our willingness to stop will go a long way in destroying the habit called MASTURBATION.
3) WATCH WHAT YOU FEED YOUR MIND: It is a popular saying that YOU ARE WHAT YOU SEE. well if you really want to stop masturbating then you have to be mindful of what you read, watch and the company you keep. stop watching pornographic movies,pictures or song because the more you see it your mind feeds on it and it triggers the brain and the body to start demanding for the pleasure and before you know it you are MASTURBATING AGAIN!!!!!! am sure you wouldn't want that happening, so throw away or burn off everything that triggers the urge to masturbate.
change the movies and songs you watch and listen to,you can start watching christian movie, kiddies movies that would make you feel comfortable. also always avoid been in the company of people who talk about sex all the time.
4) ALSO try as much as possible not to be alone in a place for too long, join a conversation that would purge your heart and cleanse your minds off masturbation thoughts.
5) PRAY TO GOD: yes, you've also got to pray to your creator about this, because masturbation is a devilish act you would need the divine intervention of God in separating yourself fro it.
6) Also whenever you notice the urge to masturbate you can also do the following
* bit the finger you use in masturbating so hard that it hurts badly, that way you would focus on the pain and the urge would go.
* you can shout a big NO I WONT DO IT AGAIN... GET AWAY this really helps, that way the devil would know you mean business.
* you can run out of your room to a place where others are, since you cant masturbate in public the urge would go.
* you can tell a trusted individual about it,that way you might be scared of doing it again.
* you can make a scary promise with God.e.g if i do it again LET MUM SCOLD ME FOR SOMETHING I DID'NT DO t hat way you would try your best not to do it.
7) Read and meditate on the word of God often so that He would continually cleanse and purge you daily from all uncleanliness.
And am sure by the time you have out all this into use you would be totally free from the devils net. and you would be walking with pride.
