2018, I moved to Ogun state and had to seek employment in a school within my vicinity. As a Lagos teacher, I was used to a vibrant class, swift answers and mushy acts by my students. So I resumed at my new work place with that fully charged energy. The first day got me confused. I was to teach the primary classes, I started my class and it was obvious these children were not following. They could neither understand what I was saying nor did they show any bit of interest. It was then I knew I had to start from the scratch. First, I had to create a connection. I wanted them to understand that I am first their friend. I needed to set the foundation that they can have both a friend and teacher in one. After that, I came down to their level. I made them feel and appreciate every little progress they made. I built up their interest in education. We worked together, applying several strategies I discovered and created, and within some month the growth was evident. Eureka is a book that ...
We have recently been talking about how to believe in yourself, following the right path and doing the right thing.
now today we are going to begin the study on the enemies of talents
the first enemy am going to be discussing about is low self esteem
LOW SELF ESTEEM: this is one of the problems facing our children today and it is a great obstacle of using your talent effectively. it makes you feel you're not worth it. it makes you feel you're below others. you see your mates and rather than converse with them you feel inferior, you feel they are better, finer, wealthier or more lucky than you, and even most-times you so much pray and wish you where them.
The thing here is this is the devils own way of leading you into committing different sins all because you feel you are less than others. you are created in your own special way, our Lord God said that before we were born he knew everything about us, he says the thought he has for us are for good and not evil to bring us to an expected end, he says we are created and formed in his own image and likeness. no matter what you might be going through God is aware and it is all part of the great you he is forming. don't give the devil room into your life by thinking you're worth nothing.
You are wonderfully and beautifully made by God, the bible says he saw all what he created and they were good including you. you were made in his image dear. you are amazing just the way you are and if there is something you don't like about yourself tell it to your creator rather than eating yourself up with feeling low.
Don't give the devil room to destroy the good thing God has planned in your life because that all he is after, his only work is to steal, kill and destory and he is never tired of doing so. once you give room for low self esteem the devil packages other sins into your life.
we would be discussing those other sins as from tomorrow
say no to low self esteem and you will be saying no to a billion other sins.
