A story of my confused state

  2018, I moved to Ogun state and had to seek employment in a school within my vicinity. As a Lagos teacher, I was used to a vibrant class, swift answers and mushy acts by my students. So I resumed at my new work place with that fully charged energy. The first day got me confused. I was to teach the primary classes, I started my class and it was obvious these children were not following. They could neither understand what I was saying nor did they show any bit of interest. It was then I knew I had to start from the scratch. First, I had to create a connection. I wanted them to understand that I am first their friend. I needed to set the foundation that they can have both a friend and teacher in one. After that, I came down to their level. I made them feel and appreciate every little progress they made. EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE BY OBAOLUWA

It is not good to involve in examination malpractice because of the following reasons:

1) It corrupts children because they believe they can cheat to get anything in life.
2) It makes our children unemployable e.g Companies won't employ them because they know nothing.
3) It makes children lazy e.g They believe they can pass the examination without reading.
4) It makes children problem in the society.
5) It makes children steal e.g When they don't know anything they steal to get money.
6) It makes children terrorists. E.g Children will be stealing, kidnapping to get what they want.
7) It makes children go to jail. E.g When they cheat and people catch them, they take them to jail.

8) It makes parents sad

9) It makes children not to pass their examination. E.g When the teacher put somebody that is not brilliant and they want to cheat from the person, they write nonsense.

10) It makes parents waste money. E.g When children don't know anything, parent waste money by paying school fees.

11) It makes parents change their children school because if they know that their child is cheating they change school so that teachers can catch them.

12) It makes them say silly things when they don't know anything.

TRAINING A CHILD

Its no longer news that children aren't trained in the way they ought to go but in the way their parents deem it fit for them to go. Before a child is born, parents have concluded on the path/career of the child and when he is born, he has no option than follow their path like a dummy least the society tags him a disobedient child. I was discussing with a couple days ago and I raised the topic of training a child. I told them children should in the way they should go not the way their parents want them to go. I was taken aback by their response "So we should allow him become wayward abi, he should do whatever he wants to do..." Pro 22:6 "Train up a child IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO and when he is old he won't depart from it." IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO not IN THE WAY YOU WANT HIM TO GO. CONDUCTOR'S SECRET

Y e sterday i boarded a bus to work and the conductor taught me a very important life lesson.  When i entered i was the only one in the bus and there were several buses there calling out for passengers but this conductor of the bus i entered did something i loved. He went across the road and started calling for passengers, he assisted some in crossing the road and he carried luggage of others. He also had to persuade some that his bus was going to move immediately they entered and before the twinkle of an eye the bus was filled while other buses were still there. After some passengers dropped he had to call for more passengers, the first two passengers offered to pay less which was ridiculous.  He refused to carry them and the bus moved to another location, getting there he picked passengers who paid exactly what he called.  It got me thinking thank God he didn't to carry those who offered to less.
